He also serves as the Editor-in-chief of Agetech News, which reports on fundings, exits, and opportunities in Agetech. With his focus on later life, Max is able to support and empower visionary entrepreneurs to accelerate the pace of innovation in aging. Sam Zimmerman is currently the CEO of Sagewell - where he is building a bank for his mom. Prior to this, Sam was the co-founder of Freebird, a General Catalyst backed consumer fintech startup acquired by Capital One and CTO of PathCheck Foundation, the world’s largest nonprofit open-sourced project for COVID-19 contact tracing which was the official app in five US states and territories and is used by millions around the world. Since 2011, Sam’s roles have consistently involved successful commercial applications of research technologies in financial services and computer science. Sam is a graduate of Duke University. In his spare time, Sam enjoys running, wrestling, animals, poetry, and eviction research.
